Pineapple Upside Down Cake

 Dit is een van mijn favoriete recepten omdat het makkelijk en snel te maken is wanneer ik trek krijg in zoetigheid of onverwachte bezoekers blij wil maken met een stuk cake. Kijk naar het filmpje en kijk zelf hoe je je ingrediënten omtovert tot een een heerlijke ananas upsidedown cake.

Prepping Your Pineapples!
Ingredients You Will Need:

Lets Make The SpongeCake:
Unsalted Butter
Self Rising Flour
Glaze it up:
Apricot Jam

Tip: Make sure your eggs and unsalted butter are at roomtemperature when you start & start heating you oven.
How to Prep you pineapple slices!
  • Bring the water to a boil in a pan together with the sugar. When the sugar is disolved add the slices.
  • Turn the slices a couple times to make sure it is fully covered and slightly caramalized.
  • When Done place the slices in a bown whit rum and let them chill for a moment.
  • Now butter your pan and place the pineapple slices in the dired shape.
How To Make a Fluffy Cake!
  • Add the sugar, Selfrising flour, butter and eggs in a bowl and start mixing untill fluffy.
  • Pour the batter to a pre-buttered pan with pineapple slices and place in the oven for about 30 minutes. Bake at 180 c/ 350 degrees. Your cake is ready when a thootpick comes out clean.


Ready To Serve!
Now your cake is almost done.
  • Heat up 3-4 tablespoons of jam in a pan until liquid
  • Brush the jam on the cake untill nice and shiny
